GREGORIO BARDINI(Ita) & GERSTEIN(Ger)
"Arise Of A Bleeding Rose" Cd 2009
(The Eastern Front)
More than just a collaborative release between two of the most creative exponents of diverse soundscapes, this release is a perfect balance between exciting melancholic feelings and electronic passages, with interesting inclusion of flutes, ocarine, samples among other diverse elements worth to explore through each one of the 10 compositons included here.the shape of Bardini is well known due its amazing works into neo classic stuff through The Eastern Front.and Maurizio Pustianaz, the mastermind behinds GERSTEIN moving his sound between: solo melancholic piano ballads, experimental harsh sounds, synth-guitar powerful extravaganza to the actual electronic semi melodic tracks, creates here a dynamic expressionism starting with "Von Guten Mächten",a psychodelic track with so very interesting elements dressed with flute melodies, percussive electro beats and perfect voices spoken in german, together piano elements, makes of this track a perfect opening due the way as the track is evolving from time to time. "In Gedanken" is a more rhythmic track built into powerfull elements dressed with sutile flute atmopsheres creating a perfect contrast in which melodic elements emerges from nothingness to floats together the enigmatic voices coming within the whole picture of the track."Il guadiano Delta Mutilazole" and " Il Male" are the next tracks,so the first one more sutile in its own movements but still with such electro patterns and sounds complementing perfectly with the voices performed here.the next one show us a more dense facet crawling into ambient atmopsheres with a eastern influence, dressed with piano passages, voices and other interesting elements.Again the rythmic exposition of sounds are present in "Trost Und Freude",bringing us old school electro sounds from 80's."Arise Of A Bleeding Rose" comes with divese melencholic sounds evoking pure nostalgic feelings.the voices are amazing and complementing perfectly with such martial druming sounds.other title tracks are "The Dead Poet","Guten Inspirationen Kaum Gefolgt","Als Ich 13 Jahre Alt War..." and "Il Gioco Delle Parti".without a doubt this release have so many interesting elemnts if you are looking for electro neo folk dressed with dynamism in a perfect way!
